Guy Martin Roberge

Paintings and Assemblages
My interest in both painting and drawing began 30 years ago after becoming free from drug and alcohol dependence and finding peace with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Having previously never studied art, I attended local classes, viewed online tutorials and read books to hone my skills. It is a practice I continue to this day. Most of my work begins with a photograph selected from my own collection. My intention as an artist is not merely for the sake of self-expression; it is that others, upon viewing my work, will find it pleasing to both the eye and the soul.

I am a New Hampshire native and born in 1951. Upon graduating from High School, I entered the Air Force where I worked as a firefighter. After that I studied photography in Boston but not wishing to pursue photography as a profession I instead worked for several years as a camera repair technician. I later transitioned to the computer field working as a technician in the Silicon Valley. I have recently retired and am taking advantage of it by spending more time on my art and partnering with other artists. I moved with my wife Maggie from Sunnyvale, California to Greer in April of 2020.
